Description
Empowering Voices Speaks with Maradona Jules, a Haitian member of Trinity United Church of Christ waiting to hear from his family

I am very sorry to hear about the tragedy that happened and is still happening in Haiti. I pray that God will watch over all his children and be with them in their hour of need. May God continue to bless them as they try to overcome this most tragic catastrophe. God Bless us all!

You have such resilience. In the midst of tragedy you have not let go of your faith. You continue to Stand With Faith! I believe you are correct when that we are living in the last time... "this is a time of Christ's kingdom and Christ's coming"

My heart goes out to all in Haiti. The one good thing that I can see coming out of this tragedy is that Haiti's history is being brought out in the media. The abuse by France and the US to name a few. I pray that after all of this is over that their debt will be relieved and they get rid of the corrupt dictators.

I certainly hopes that he locates his family members.
I have numerous friends in the Haitian community and in Haiti proper. I had been invited to take part in a mission trip to Haiti this past November. But as the quake has changed things, I'm trying to spearhead a construction training school to be founded in Haiti using what seems to be the best available curriculum and the accrediting body is supportive of the effort.
A friend of mine and member of Trinity, Marguerite Bien-Aime, suggested that I share this endeavor with you.

Hello Kosmas. I highly recommend you read the following books. Unbroken Agony: Haiti from Revolution to the Kidnapping of a President, written by Randall Robinson and Eyes of the Heart written by Jean Bertrand Aristed. Peace be with you.
