I especially enjoyed the part in which Dr. T.F. Brown stated we need both a "shouting faith" and an "intellectual faith" and that the two are not compartmentalized.
One reason I truly enjoy Trinity United Church of Christ, is that it successfully combines intellect and Holy Ghost shouts during the worship experience and does not condemn someone for doing so. There are some churches that are strictly intellectual and NO SHOUT and others that are all shouts and strictly NO INTELLECT (including the preacher).
TUCC is unique in that you have both intellect and shouts merging in both the pulpit AND the pews simultaneously so that a meaningful and lasting praise and worship dialog takes place during the service. ALL UNSCRIPTED!
I also enjoyed Dr. T.F. Brown's observation that no one is left out at the cross of Jesus from his resurrecting power and saving grace. Male or female, young or old, Black or White, Rome or Jew, all are equal at the feet of Jesus Christ.
Stand Up For Jesus! Shout Out For Jesus!
