It is my honor and my delight to introduce and present to the village of Trinity our intern for the year, Minister Julian DeShazier, also known as Minister JKwest. Minister Julian is a graduate of Morehouse College, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and currently a student at the University of Chicago School of Divinity. Minister Julian deferred going to Harvard University immediately upon graduation from Morehouse in order to build a growing youth movement of Christian activists and artists called "Pure Music."
We are delighted Minister Julian is working with us for the 2008-09 school year. I would encourage all Trinity members to speak with Minister Julian and to let him know how blessed we are to have a strong brother of incredible talent, intellect and spiritual depth working with our young people this year. May God continue to bless Minister Julian and his work with the Pure Music movement. We are honored to have him working with us this school year.

While I hope the brother keeps a balance between his rapping and his ministry, it's just good to see some positive stories coming out of the CHI.

I played the music video on the Trinity Blog. I then showed it to my sons and the Music Man son, DiaVonte thought it was Raw/Good. He likes writing rapps and putting together beats calling himself a composer of the new age. It is good that someone can relate to him what he likes and direct it in a positive path. Great music/rapping/what ever you wish to call it(I'm just old school) and prefer the old do wop stuff - But I get excited about our young people excited about how we're living in the world today!! Keep up the excellent work young brother preacher and keep on sending positive messages and good music to God's oppressed but PROUD people!

Hello. I have been listening to the songs posted on the the pure music blog. I believe this a good thing for young hip hop people to embrace. I think we as a church family should encourage more of this. I think we should host a hip-hop gospel concert featuring J.Kwest, and the others on the puremusic blog.

It is a new day in America.
Young people not only have a voice but also a platform with which all of us in the body of christ can listen to if only we train our ears to hear their utterances. I am an old school Mississippi member and I have enjoyed the video.
Thank you T.U.C.C.for posting this video. It provides inspiration for us all to clearly see that while many of us may have arrived here in different boats or crossed different borders we have all docked or settled in the same harbor and must live respectfully alongside one another for we have more in common that we do different.

Just give something helpful for the people and give advices that will help them. Speculation about the future of the world is one the longest pastimes of the human race, and speculation about the future of American finance, which has payday loans as a buffer, is a hot topic as of late.
